Measure, calibrate and tune over CANopen, XCP and USB
See what your firmware sees.
LogoByte connects to your drives and controllers, plots any signal live, writes calibration values in place, and records traces at up to 120 kHz over USB. One tool. One licence. No options matrix.
In development at Droplet AB. Trial builds go out on request.
What it does
- Every parameter, one tree
- Load an A2L, an EDS or an object-dictionary file and every measurement, characteristic and dictionary entry appears in one browser: multiple nodes, multiple protocols, one view. A signal reachable two ways shows once, with a badge per source.
- The planner does the bus math
- Group the signals you care about; LogoByte packs the DAQ lists, prescales when the bus fills, and falls back to polling instead of refusing. Every row shows its verdict, DAQ @ 100 Hz or polled @ 5 Hz. Never a modal, never a mystery.
- Tune it live
- Change a gain, watch the response on the same screen. Writes go over XCP DOWNLOAD and CANopen SDO with nothing between you and the machine.
- Traces that keep up with your motor
- The high-speed USB stream carries a hundred signals at 8 kHz and dozens at 120 kHz, timestamped at the source. Current ripple and commutation events that no CAN bus could ever carry.
- Built against real firmware
- LogoByte doesn't trust a configuration until data actually arrives, and it tolerates the ways real ECUs bend the XCP standard: byte-swapped fields, optimistic buffer claims, lists that start silent. Handled, not crashed on.
- Independent by design
- Per-protocol connection state means a calibration mismatch on XCP never takes down your CANopen telemetry. When something fails, only that thing fails, and the log says why.
Between a bus analyzer and a €3,000 calibration seat, there was nothing. Now there's LogoByte.
Compared with bus analyzers
They show you frames. LogoByte shows you named engineering values, and writes them back.
Compared with the big measurement and calibration suites
The measurement-and-calibration core, without automotive-OEM pricing, dongles or per-option licensing.
Compared with vendor motor GUIs
The same tuning workflow, but for your hardware, over standard protocols, with recordings you keep.
Your drive already speaks XCP. Give it someone to talk to.
